Information on Jeanette Lee, "The Black Widow" |
|
We've all heard of the legendary Minnesota
Fats... but there's a new name 'making waves' when it comes to the
game of pool. Her name is Jeanette Lee, also known as "The Black
Widow". This 30 year-old Brooklyn-born billiards sensation became
the number one ranked woman's professional in the world within just
two years of turning pro. She came to the Windy City to help support
her favorite charity, the Scoliosis Association. It is a disease
that has affected her most of her life and required her to undergo
surgery. Jeanette appeared at the Canadian Club Sharpshooter Challenge
Regional Tournament held at Shark City in Glendate Heights. There,
she took on some of the state's best amateur pool players. But before
the big event, she met up with our own Liza Cruzat at the Lakeview
Billiard Cafe.
