Team Blonde offers custom made jewelry and accessories seven days a week in it's shop, but the action on selected weekend evenings begins in the downstairs studio where owners Jayne Ertel and Heidi Vance prepares for young artists.

The key to this partnership, off Madison Street and Forest Park, is proximity. Now a jewelry boutique in a restaurant may not seem to have a lot in common, except location, but this innovative program has created a solution to a common problem for parents.

"Someone next door came to us and said, 'I'm losing a lot of reservations because babysitters are canceling," said Heidi Vance.

"Originally I thought it was an excuse for people to use the excuse of my babysitter couldn't come over, so we have to cancel a reservation. It's a big problem, finding the right babysitter who'll stay home and watch your kid while you come here, that's why we did it together," said Gaetano Di Benedetto.

"Couldn't the kids come here and take a class while their parents eat with me. We thought that was genius," said Vance.
