For 28 years, this amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois has been a
favorite for Chicago's thrill-seekers. The park features 40 rides,
including 12 world-class coasters. The newest lets riders feel like
they're flying just like the Man of Steel. Its called 'Superman
Ultimate Flight'.

Park Xtreme |
This 170 acre park about an hour southwest of the city is the ultimate
playground for any 'extreme sport' fan.. featuring 27 different paintballfields
and full-service paintball pro-shop, a skate park, mountain biking
courses and a BMX track. Challenge Park Xtreme is an 8-million dollar
facility located in Joliet. We sent our resident 'daredevil', Lou

Congo River Golf and Exploration Co. are turning the game into an
adventure. At this Hoffman Estates course, you'll wind your way
up a 30-foot hill, complete with a set of gigantic water falls.

A first in any city park across the country, this full service garden
center opened up this spring on the Garfield Park Conservatory Campus.
In the 13,000 square foot garden center, you can find annuals, perennials,
herbs, tropicals, water plants.. even fresh cut flowers and best
of all, the staff is ready and waiting with advice. Also in this
unique retail setting is the Garfield Market... where 12 vendors,
selling everthing from African art to vintage home accents, have
set up shop in the old horse stables.
