Extra Information on Chicago Rowing Center
Lou Canellis rows up the south branch of the Chicago River with the Chicago Rowing Center! This women's rowing program is for anyone high school age and up, with any level of experience. Right now there are about 20 girls on this team-the youngest is 16 and the oldest is nearing her 50's! Their practice schedule pretty much sums up their level of dedication-they are out twice a day, 6 days a week, at 4AM and 6 in the evening! And the work pays off for this Bridgeport club-the CRC has won 11 national Titles in its 5 short years of existence!

Extra Information on Tempel Lipizzans
They've been protected by empires... performed before royalty... pulled the casket of the Unknown Soldier of the Vietnam War... and have been ridden by world leaders like Ronald Reagan and Morocco's King Hassan The Second. There are less than 4,000 amongst this rare breed worldwide. And, through the course of their lives they magnificently begin to change color from off black…to pure white. They are the Lipizzans Stallions at Tempel Farms in Wadsworth Illinois! And this year marks the 60th anniversary of one of the great untold stories of world war two: the U.S. military rescue of two hundred Lipizzans being held captive by German troops in Czechoslovakia.
