Information on Opera |
|
Liza Cruzat visited the Lyric Opera of Chicago
for an unusual audition. The one-act opera, Pagliacci, tells the
story of a traveling circus troupe. Thus, the Lyric Opera needed
circus performers as background players in the opera. Juggling acts,
fire-eaters and everything in between showed up for this unique
tryout. Pagliacci, paired with another one-act opera, Cavalleria
Rusticana, opens the Lyric Opera's season on September 21 and runs
through October 26. For ticket information, visit www.lyricopera.org
