EXTRA Information on Larry Einhorn

Larry Einhorn, a former TV producer, sells Beatle Bed Sheets in little squares. Inspired by his babysitter’s obsession with the Beatles, Larry bought what he and his partner, Richie Victor claim are the actual hotel bed sheets that the Beatles slept on while on American tour in 1964. Larry and Richie tried selling them then for $1 apiece. But even though they have affadavits certifying the authenticity of the little squares, there were few takers. Today they are asking $100 for a full set of 4 and are finding some takers at Beatlemania events and at online auction sites.

EXTRA Information on PAWS
“Pets Are Worth Saving” are words that the PAWS organization lives by. Chicago is one of the worst cities nationwide for pet placement. About 75% of sheltered animals are killed each year. The solution? In the fall, a PAWS spay/neuter clinic hopes to perform 40-50 low cost spay/neuter operations per day.
In order to create a pet-friendly environment, PAWS is encouraging pet-lovers to adopt that “doggie in the window.”
An Angels with Tails Walking Tour will be held on Sunday August 6, 2000 from 12pm-5pm. The goal is for many cats and dogs to find friendly homes.

EXTRA Information on Sylvester Stallone
Scenes from Sylvester Stallone’s new movie were filmed over the recent Target Grand Prix weekend in Cicero. The Chicago Motor Speedway provided excellent atmosphere for the racecar movie. Sly plays a formerly great but currently washed up racecar driver who is “brought back” to help a rookie driver succeed. Production is taking place mainly in Toronto, Canada. Renny Harlin (“Deep Blue Sea” and “Cliffhanger”) is the Director. Also starring are: Burt Reynolds, Gina Gershon, Kip Pardue, Robert Sean Leonard, Stacy Edwards, Estella Warren, Til Schweiger, Cristian de la Fuente and Brent Briscoe. The movie is scheduled to come out sometime next summer.
EXTRA Information on Le Passage

You gotta know where to go to find the hot new “Le Passage” restaurant/nightclub right off of Rush. A short walk down an alley and a quick descent down stairs will bring you inside the elegantly furnished “Le Passage.” This classy space used to be the empty basement of La Colonial, but now it is decorated with 21-karat gold leaf columns, hand-painted mural walls and a blue resin floor.

“Le Passage” is a brand new addition to the Rush Street scene of different restaurants and lounges. The most unique part is that “Le Passage” is a trio combination of a restaurant, a dance club and bar.
For exquisite French dining, an energetic DJ, and YOW’s Polynesian Drinks…..
