Michelle Alegria joined 190 North in the fall of 2002. Michelle is a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago. During her junior year at Columbia, Michelle interned at ABC 7 and dreamed that she would work at the station as a television journalist. Almost a decade later, that dream was realized when she joined the 190 North team as a weekly correspondent. Her work on 190 North has garnered two Emmy Awards.

Michelle is considered the "fashionista" of the group and contributes many stories focused on Chicago's style trendsetters. Her passion for fashion led to the creation a children's clothing boutique in the city's Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Michelle's career as a journalist began in Roswell, New Mexico at KOBR-TV. After KOBR, Michelle was promoted from general assignment reporter to anchor at KTSM-TV in El Paso Texas. Michelle returned home to Chicago in 2000 where she was hired as a general assignment reporter at CLTV Chicagoland Television. During her two years at CLTV, Michelle covered many high profile stories -- her favorite was when Mexico's President Vicente Fox's visited Chicago and she was able to interview him in her first language, Spanish.

Michelle lives in what she calls the best city in the world, Chicago, with her husband and two daughters.
