Lou Mitchell's Restaurant, named after its owner, Lou Mitchell, has been a Chicago staple since the early 1920s serving breakfast as early as 5:30am during the week. And if you look at this place then and now, it still looks and feels the same. Located in the loop on Jackson Street...formerly Route 66, Lou Mitchell's has seen its share of loyal patrons, tourists and even Presidents -- Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.
