Sure, the mercury has dropped and the chill of winter is in the air but that doesn't mean you have to hibernate! Chicago offers up plenty of outdoor winter fun, in fact, ice skating in this city couldn't be any cheaper...if you have your own skates, its free! The Chicago Park District operates several rinks around the city... and perhaps the most well-known rink around is the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park. All are free to those with skates... or offer skate rentals for a minimal fee.
